Pre-Registration for 3GAH commences!

Alumni! Mark your calendars for a two-day celebration of our 3rd LCHS GAH on May 23 & 24, 2008.

Day1 (tentative) events will be at Lanao Chung Hua School Campus, Pala-o, Iligan City. On-site registration will start at around 10am, which will simultaneously coincide with a motorcade around the city. Evening affair will start with pre-show 'show', which includes street magic and lounge live music. Dinner will be served starting 6:45 until 8:45. Evening show will start by 8:00pm.

Day2 (tentative)
- Mid-afternoon Plenary Session at LCHS AV Room.
- Gala night (formal attire) at Elena Tower Inn.

The registration fee is P1,200.00 to cover the entire two-night affair and the improvement of LCHS facilities. Early registration is on-going until April 15, 2008 and entitles you to a free and limited edition Polo-Shirt!

3^rd LCHS Grand Alumni Homecoming

Theme: “Together Blending Melodies and Memories”

May 23-24, 2008

On our first and second Grand Alumni Homecoming we took a trip down memory lane, relived and reminisced the fun of the good old days. Retraced old tracks and rekindled old ties with former friends, classmates, and teachers.

Homecoming is like an old song that brings back the memories you thought you left behind. Friends, classmates, teachers, and experiences never got old but they just got better with time as we look back with so much fondness of our younger years. Let us make the melody of life much sweeter and the journey of our lives more meaningful.

On the occasion of our 3^rd LCHS GAH: “Together Blending Melodies and Memories”, let us together weave the melodies of life by picking up the pieces that remain, and blend the memories and old melodies that keep running through our minds and those that bind us together.

This text would more or less be included on the marketing paraphernelias for the event. We are still finalizing on the details of the two-day event, although the general plan is already in place (but still being tweaked at committee level). We regret at this time that we still can't share this, but probably within the end of the month. We have set a Feb 20 LCHSAA board meeting where proposals will be presented. The first set of solicitation letters have been sent out, and we will be appealing in the next few days for some of our overseas alumni for pledges of financial support for the said event. In this regard, we will be printing a Souvenir Program which includes the ads of our financial backers.

New Refined and Tweaked Logo superceeds previous one!

The previously approved 3rd GAH logo was further refined and tweaked by the original designer, Peter Dy. All this refining was coordinated with Johnny (Chen) and James (Booc). Finally on January 28, an updated design was accepted. This shall become the official event logo that shall appear on all official printed documents relevant

3GAH Logo and Theme Released

In a special LCHSAA Board Meeting last January 16, among the other items approved was the concept of the 3rd LCHS Grand Alumni Homecoming (3GAH) Logo and Theme. A number of submitted logos were also evaluated and considered, but eventually a design (from a number of related designs) submitted by Peter Dy ('66) became the basis of the new 3GAH Logo.

Thus -- Peter Dy will get the credit for this.

The logo represents the color of the school which is blue. The diamond on the backgound of the LCHS Alumni Association's logo represents the diamond jubilee (70th year) that our alma mater would be celebrating.

Theme for the 3GAH will be "Together Blending Melodies and Memories" and is inspired by Suniel 'Boy' Lim ('66).

3rd LCHS Grand Alumni Homecoming kicks off...

LCHS Alumni Association will be launching this Sunday (30th) its effort for the 3rd LCHS Grand Alumni Homecoming. The launch will be highlighted during the Alumni Christmas party.

All preparations are still on primordial stages. A contest for the Event Logo and Theme had been launched and last day of submission will be January 15, 2008.
